Role Purpose & Context

Liberty IT is currently in a period of exciting growth and central to our ongoing success is a genuine and continued focus on developing our talent. This role will support us in our continued pursuit to unleash the potential of our people. The role holder will provide operational support for the L&D function while working closely with the L&D Consultant.

This role is critical to the employee learning and development experience throughout the employee lifecycle, through the coordination, management, and continuous improvement of activities such as onboarding, training academies, learning offer and course content. This person will have experience in working in a similar role, and a proven track record of building and nurturing internal and external stakeholder relationships with strong communication and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and embed the learning culture across Liberty IT and promote learning opportunities for the development of technical, professional, business and leadership skills.
  • Ensure the learning experience for employees focuses on user experience and that content is kept up to date, curated and easy to access.
  • Support the Learning & Development Consultant in identifying organisational and individual learning needs and meeting those needs through the provision of learning solutions.
  • Manage and co-ordinate learning events such as Onboarding, Orientations, Training Academies, Training courses/Workshops, etc.
  • Make maximum usage of LMS to manage registrations, attendance, evaluations, etc. for all learning events.
  • Act as subject matter expert for all L&D systems (Cornerstone, LinkedIn learning, Pluralsight, etc.).
  • Produce a learning dashboard for Talent and the wider organization which informs both future decision-making and the assessment of the impact of the learning delivered.
  • Partner with Invest NI and the Finance team in relation to the securing of the Skills Growth Grant, submitting claims in a timely manner.
  • Manage relationships with all external partners, including training vendors, Invest NI, etc.
  • Support L&D Consultant in delivering projects as and when needed.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience of LMS/HR systems.
  • Strong IT skills - proficient in MS office packages Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to travel and work between Belfast and Dublin when required.

Desired Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • CIPD membership.
  • CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Learning & Development.
  • Experience in a similar industry – Information Technology.
  • Experience of Invest NI Skills Growth programme.
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone, LinkedIn, Pluralsight learning platforms.
