Senior Information Security Consultant

Day to day your role will involve:

No two days in consultancy are the same, as a Ward information security consultant you will work for customers of various sizes across multiple industries, gaining invaluable exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies.

You will need to be adaptable and organised as you’ll be working on multiple different projects in tandem often delivering multiple different services.

You will work with customers at their site (although increasingly via Microsoft teams) gathering information, assessing their systems and processes so you will need to have a keen eye for details and great interpersonal skills. You will then analyse the information gathered, prepare any supporting documentation and present your findings to the customer so you’ll need to be very comfortable compiling and presenting reports often to non technical customers.

Ideally you will have the following skills/ experience:

  • 3rd level qualification in an Information technology discipline
  • A fundamental knowledge of Information Security Governance, risk and compliance
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a technical environment with a specific focus on information security.
  • A strong baseline of technical knowledge or experience in either Networking, Pentesting, or Cloud technologies
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Client facing experience (internal or external)
  • Excellent interpersonal, reporting and presentation skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English

 

It would also be beneficial if you have experience and or certifications in the following:

  • Security Threat, Risk Assessment and Analysis
  • ISMS Establishment and Operation
  • Security Incident Investigations
  • Relevant DATA Protection and Legislation Audit
  • GDPR
  • Physical and Social Engineering
  • ISO-27000 series of standards
  • Business continuity planning
