About the Role

• Senior full stack developer building consumer grade user experiences for the Workday Journeys product.
• Write and maintain solid, robust, efficient and maintainable code using frameworks and tools, including ES6, React, Redux, Emotion, Jest, Cypress, Webpack, Babel, and TypeScript.
• Lead the technical design and breakdown of complex features.
• Provide direction and guide architectural design decisions.
• Write reliable unit, integration, and system level tests that will run on our CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements  to deliver innovative features with a consumer grade UI experience.
• Build proof of concepts to inform and guide the development approach for features.
• Understand and promote industry best practice.
• Mentor and learn from other team members through workshops, pairing, code reviews and code documentation.

About You

• You have experience designing performant, scalable and reliable web applications.
• You are very familiar with some of the following frontend technologies: HTML5, JS (React, Redux, Emotion, Jest, Cypress, Webpack, Babel, Lerna, TypeScript).
• You understand the value of automated tests at all levels of the testing pyramid.
• You have a strong desire to learn and improve at your craft.
• You have familiarity with, or a willingness to use, server side languages such as Java.
• You can lead complex work from start to finish.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably Computer Science/Engineering
• 7+ years enterprise development experience 
• 5+ years strong frontend development experience  in HTML5/CSS/JS utilising frameworks/libraries such as React, AngularJS, JQuery
• Experience with object oriented languages like Java, C#, Typescript or similar

Other Qualifications: 

• Experience with WCAG and accessible UI development is advantageous
