Senior Development DBA

We are currently seeking a Senior Development DBA to work on a delivery team developing, implementing and maintaining automation supporting Asset Management’s database ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with technology partners across Ireland and the US.

The position aligns to the Asset Management Technology organization which provides worldwide technology and support to the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. This Senior Development DBA role involves automating key database related processes to support DBA and Engineering teams.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of Database Administration preferably Oracle
  • Minimum of 5 years of Experience in Python, Shell scripting, KSH or equivalent
  • Experience in Java, Groovy will be a plus
  • Expertise in automating operational processes
  • Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, UDeploy, (UCD) Docker Swarm and Containers will be a plus
  • Understanding of AWS Cloud Architecture, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS will be a plus
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/Maven)
  • Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
  • Exposure to Agile development practices
  • Other Database types (Snowflake/ MariaDB/ PostgreSQL) will be a plus

  • You have proven expertise in Oracle database technologies from either a database administration or engineering perspective
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud providers would be a distinct plus
  • You have the ability to collaborate well with your team members, work independently and influence your technology peers
  • You demonstrate the aptitude to learn and adopt new database technologies in the cloud
  • You have an innovative mindset committed to automating and streamlining manual processes
