Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Responsibilities:
•    Providing technical and business leadership in Cloud technology including NFVi, CNIS,  CNCF,  Containerization, cloud platforms, Cloud data centres.
•    Work in the Solution Architect Role in both Pre-Sales & Delivery phases of a customer engagement for e2e Cloud Transformation.
•    Scope, define and design solution offerings; driving end-to-end technical solutions
•    Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis
•    Work with core team on list of potential activities and solutions
•    Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations
•    Support deployment of solution
•    Provide feedback to R&D 
•    Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing 
•    Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build

Key Qualifications:
•    Education: Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering 
•    Minimum years of experience: 5
•    Domain experience:  area of expertise – Cloud technology, NFVi, CNIS
•    Experience from technical job roles is required with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical role 
•    A Solution Architect candidate is assessed according to the following tracks: 
•    Cloud/NFVi Domain and E2E

  • Good knowledge of IP Networks, and related nodes/protocols. IP Certification is preferred but not a pre-requisite for this role.
  • Expertise and hands-on in at least one Linux distribution, ideally SUSE
  • Knowledge of virtual infrastructure solutions, e.g. OpenStack
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes container based solutions
  • Scripting & coding skills

 

Additional Requirements
•    Be able to travel internationally with short notice in line with business requirements.
•    Demonstrate experience in services for complex Cloud, IP, BB or Core systems in customer environments.
•    Demonstrate advanced skills in communicating, leading, influencing, building networks and relationships, presenting, coordinating, planning and delivering results.
•    Have experience of working with Operators, 3PPs and Product Development Units
•    Be able to demonstrate their experience of working effectively under pressure, across multiple cultures and complex environments
•    Provide evidence of a broad knowledge and experience of Telecommunication networks, from service and application layer to backbone
Please note this position involves traveling globally.
