We are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to be part of a small and agile network center of excellence (CoE) team within the Enterprise Cloud Computing (ECC) organization at Fidelity Investments. The CoE provides support and consultation to internal business units and applications teams deploying applications to the public cloud. This includes customer education on cloud technologies, compliance with internal security controls, and troubleshooting connectivity issues within various cloud service providers (CSPs) such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of fundamental cloud and networking technologies.

The Value You Deliver

• Processing service requests for network connectivity and firewall rules
• Providing guidance and support to business unit (BU) application teams deploying to the cloud
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues to/from the Fidelity network with application teams
• Creating well-written documentation to help educate BU application teams
• Working with customers to understand their networking requirements
• Identifying gaps and missing capabilities in the existing ECC network product offerings
• Providing operational support and participate on an on-call rotation

The Expertise We’re Looking For 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology field with at least 4+ years of IT experience
• Comfortable in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills
• 2+ years hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure; certifications desirable

The Skills You Bring

• Knowledge of cloud networking and security in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts and templates
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancing, web proxies, and DNS
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to “dig deep”
• Great customer service skills and eagerness to help others
• Ability to teach customers about networking and security fundamentals
• Python programming experience and ability to use APIs such as boto3
• Proficient with Linux, the command line, and an editor
