We are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to be part of an agile network reliability team within the Enterprise Cloud Computing (ECC) organization at Fidelity Investments. The squad is responsible for improving the reliability and performance of the firm’s cloud network infrastructure including connectivity to/from the on-premises network, virtual networks in the AWS and Azure, web proxy services, DNS, load balancers, firewalls/security groups, and other cloud related network resources. In addition, the team is responsible for working with business unit partners to troubleshoot connectivity issues and application performance issues.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with at least 4+ years of IT experience
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills
- 1+ years hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure; certifications desirable
The Skills You Bring
- Ability to drive operational efficiency through automation
- Experience with Python and using APIs such as Boto3
- Experience with networking and security in AWS and Azure
- Experience building dashboards and tools for monitoring and alerting
- Experience supporting distributed systems in production environments
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Proficient with Linux systems, the command line, and an editor
- Familiarity with packet analysis to assist in application performance issues
