This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Public Cloud Plaforms squad in Enterprise Cloud Computing (ECC). You will join a high performing squad of engineers using the latest Cloud Native technologies to build capabilities for our customers. This team have contributed to open-source projects, built and open sourced their own Cloud Native projects and presented at conferences like Kubecon and DevOpsWorld.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Passionate and motivated to succeed
- Proficient communication skills with an ability to reach both technical and non-technical audience
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, Python or Go Lang
- Proficiency developing and understanding CI/CD containerized pipelines
- Scripting in one or more of the following: Unix Shell, Python, Groovy
- Strong understanding of Containers and Kubernetes concepts
- Troubleshooting various container-based application issues
- Hands on monitoring experience
- Core Cloud Concepts like Access Control and Networking
- Previous experience working in a mature agile environment
Nice to have
- Certifications in AWS/Azure/Kubernetes
- Proficiency with data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with Cloud Native Technologies and Open Source projects
- Familiarity of deployment strategies Canary and Blue Green
