CIB Technology – Fund Services Transfer Agency Senior Application Development Lead – Vice President 603 (Dublin)

Morgan’s Transfer Agency (part of CIB/Securities Services business), helps Asset management companies, with full service offering covering AML/KYC, Dealing, Pricing, Payments, Correspondence, Retrocession and Reg. reporting. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Application Development Lead to drive key areas in world of Transfer Agency and will be based out of Dublin. You will have extensive hands-on development experience and leading small application development teams spread across the globe.

 

Position Summary  

The Senior Application Development role will own the final delivery of the software solution of technology project/s for Transfer Agency in Dublin. The role will be co-located with the senior business, ops and tech. leaders in Dublin and will be accountable as the single point of contact for the program/platform you are managing.

 

This person is a SME in Java, Web UI and Oracle technologies (Key technologies - Core Java, Spring, Oracle, ReactJS/AngularJS, Messaging) with a proven track record of building mission critical production platforms that include a mix of software vendor applications and in-house systems.  The successful candidate must be able to partner and influence across all levels of the organization on proactive enhancement, efficiency, stability and improvement initiatives.

 

Key Accountabilities / Major Responsibilities

The position will be responsible for end-to-end systems development and L3 support including:

  • Design and Architecture of Transfer Agency platform/s;
  • Hands-on development on technologies like Java, Spring, Web UI, Oracle, Messaging;
  • Put strong quality control checks using unit testing tools and SIT to make sure UAT deployment has no defects
  • Ensure business requirements and functional design are captured, understood, estimated, signed off and delivered on time with high quality;
  • Work closely with offshore development teams and other platform leads to ensure consistency of delivery;
  • Ensure the implementation of application instrumentation for appropriate monitoring, including health checks and application logging and handover to Prod. management/DevOps before Prod. deployment;
  • Responsible for Audit, Risk issues in your area and provide UAT and L3 support
  • Adopt and Align with JP Morgan’s standard toolset and technology stack and standards.

  Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate possess a proven combination of analytical and IT skills with a key focus in the fund services transfer agency business domain. Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology;
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant Design/Architecture/Development experience in above technologies;
  • Experience with managing complex third party vendor accounting platforms in the financial services industry;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
