Senior AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer you will research, invent, design and build novel AI solutions, and train Machine Learning models to address the biggest opportunities in healthcare.  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Research and develop novel AI solutions independently and as part of a team
  • Produce high quality solutions that are robust, reliable, and scalable
  • Ability to design and code solutions starting with broadly defined problems
  • Approach highly uncertain and ambiguous environments with curiosity and a positive can-do attitude
  • Utilize data from disparate data sources and formats in order to design and implement AI solution features
  • Collaborate effectively in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to a range of audiences Demonstrate initiative and strong ownership of deliverables
  • Applying the scientific method to prove the value of proposed innovations
  • Develop both technical as well as domain expertise to effectively realize business opportunities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to others in the organization.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI/Machine Learning, Statistics, Optimization or related fields at time of application 
  • Demonstrated experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, and/or Data Science AI/ML domain.  
  • Fluency in one or more programming language: Python, R, Scala, Java, C/C++ or other programming languages to demonstrate the results of algorithmic approaches.  
  • Willingness to get things done, take initiative and challenge existing assumptions and conventions. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Healthcare domain experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in building end-to-end AI systems
  • Experience in implementing user interfaces which present AI/ML insights.
  • Demonstrable academic or industry experience in one or more of the following: Deep Learning (Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch), supervised and unsupervised ML, sequential or time series modelling, Classical AI (search and planning), Speech AI, Natural Language Understanding, Image Processing, Reinforcement Learning, Bayesian Statistics, Causal Inference, Ethical AI.
  • Prior experience with Cloud AI APIs (GCP, Azure, AWS).
