Security Engineer

Role

As a Security Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring best in class security and privacy for Keelvar Systems. You will help to protect our customers, our employees, and Keelvar. You will gain broad experience on all aspects of information security management in an ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified organisation committed to best in class information security management.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the CISO and seek to continually improve Keelvar’s information security and privacy management.

Manage Keelvar's Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019. 

Support auditing of AWS configuration using AWS Security hub, Inspector, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty.

Support vulnerability scanning, management, penetration testing, and incident response.

Drive business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.

Contribute to customer IT security questionnaire responses. 

Perform security assessments for third party services and tooling.

Support data protection, GDPR, and privacy initiatives.

Perform security and access control auditing of information security systems.

Represent Keelvar in meetings with customers, vendors, and auditors for security related topics.

Provide internal security awareness testing, training, and consultancy.

Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure Keelvar's vision is delivered.

Commit to a path of continual learning to enhance and keep relevant your security skills to the benefit of Keelvar and your personal career path.

Ideally you will have 2 years experience in a related security role.

Strong network, systems, infrastructure, and encryption knowledge including HTTPS, IPSec, TLS.

Knowledge of security standards/frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, SOC2, NIST, CSA, OWASP.

You are a strong communicator, organised and thrive in an environment of mutual respect, openness and collaboration. You enjoy getting things done at a quick pace.

You are comfortable working and collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

You enjoy solving problems creatively. You take pride in your work and you strive to delight your customers.

Preferably, you will have security related certifications/qualifications, e.g CCNA, CCNP. Bachelor’s or advanced degree and/or equivalent work experience is preferred.
