Real Estate & Workplace - Sr AV Support Engineer

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will be a key operational contributor to our overall AudioVisual (AV) strategy, design, operations and employee support on the Real Estate & Workplace (REW) team. You will report to the AV Global manager. This role will be based in the Dublin office covering the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and will partner closely with other REW functions such as workplace strategy (inclusive of office & home), design & construction, onsite & virtual events, and sustainability & workplace operations in ensuring we provide an innovative and seamless AV experience to our employees. 

Here are some other areas you will be responsible for:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for Audio Visual installations, conference rooms, etc., acting as an AV Subject Matter Expert.
  • Monitor internal ticketing systems and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Serve as an escalation point for junior team members and IT Helpdesk technicians fielding AV-related requests.
  • Serve as a lead point of contact for one or more collaboration platforms used across the organization.
  • Provide tier 1, 2 and 3 support for our core AV technologies, including conference rooms/AV installations.
  • Participate in and lead installations, retro-fits and AV builds/projects with minimal guidance, collaborating with internal design and construction teams.
  • Drive and be the point of contact for AV infrastructure projects.
  • Define, create and document new processes to support the day-to-day business, and improve existing documentation and process.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions based on the needs of the end user.
  • Implement AV standards and recommend updates as needed.
  • Assist in new service discovery, technology, and acquisitions.
  • Responsible for in-person, virtual, and hybrid event support and set-up.
  • Coordinate inventory and hardware purchasing.
  • Help guide and train more junior team members on best practices.
  • Manage ongoing vendor relationships and assist in onboarding new vendors.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years experience in technology company AV operations and support.
  • Willingness and talent for learning, critical thinking, and ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills along with strong customer service.
  • Basic technical knowledge of Mac OS 10.13.x, 10.14.x,  iOS and Android.
  • Understand CAD drawings, line drawings, signal flow, and AV concepts.
  • Experience working with Video Conferencing systems (Google Meet, LifeSize, BlueJeans, etc) along with Crestron, Extron, Lifesize, ClearOne, Symmetrix, and similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with Google Meet Hardware, Digital whiteboards, Zoom appliances, and other industry-standard conference room equipment.
  • Familiarity with live event/broadcast production equipment, e.g. Yamaha QL5, Newtek Tricaster.
  • Strong network fundamentals and support experience (network configs, VPN, etc.).
  • Knowledge of desktop security tools and best practices.
  • Experience supporting Shoretel, Dialpad, or other VOIP systems.
  • Demonstrated record of managing projects of small to moderate scope.
  • Strong Video Conference and presentation support skills.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that includes after hours and weekend support.
  • Travel may be required 25% of the time.

  • LDAP and Active Directory experience
  • Project management in a design/construction context
  • Live audio production experience
  • B.S. in Audio Engineering, Sound Reinforcement or equivalent industry experience
