Product Support Engineer - Dublin or Galway

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This is an exciting opportunity to join our SAP Product Support team, which is committed to the success of our customers through outstanding technical support. We actively investigate customer issues by mastering diverse technologies and working intensively with the products we offer.


Dublin and Galway are considered locations for this position.

 

What a day in a life of an SAP Product Support Engineer looks like:

  • Engaging with customers and provide professional, courteous and prompt technical support via multiple channels, working in a technically challenging and rewarding environment.
  • Analysing customer’s incidents, performing in-depth troubleshooting to identify and solve complex technical issues.
  • Liaising with Development Support and Field Teams to identify missing product functionalities for future releases, report bugs and cooperate with them to identify possible resolutions.
  • Documenting technical solutions to known issues to be posted to both internal and external knowledge bases.
  • Collaborating with fellow support colleagues both locally and globally and other internal organizations to provide superior customer service, sharing knowledge and process‐improvement suggestions.
  • Engage with and help drive customer support initiatives.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

  • University degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline.
  • Speaking and writing fluent English.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages.
  • Customer service-oriented person.
  • Open and professional communication style.
  • Fast learner with IT affinity.
  • Analytic thinking, problem solving and communication skills.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Working experience is not required. (1-2 years in similar role working with customers would be advantageous).
  • Dublin or Galway considered locations for position.
