We are looking for a Product Support Engineer to join Hiab's engineering team. The purpose of the position is to provide technical support to the markets and other departments within Hiab on all models of Moffett TMFL on a daily basis and technical service training as required either locally in Dundalk or at the customers premises. Product Support Engineer provides warranty backup support either by processing claims or offering technical assistance in complex situations. This position is located in Dundalk, Ireland and you will report to Product Support Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide product support for all models on any issues that arise, with the FL TMFL dealer with customers, or other departments within Hiab
- Create service training material and provide service training as requested either in Dundalk or on site
- Keep the Hiab online E-support system (c-case or similar) up to date and meet the required KPI targets on ticket closures
- Provide warranty technical support or processing support as needed
- Assist with the development of ASTS material when required for NPD projects
- Liaise with suppliers when their support is required
- Provide monthly update reports on the status of Technical Support (KPI targets)
- Provide technical feedback to the FL on changes in the product range that will affect them.
- Diploma in Engineering or Higher or 5 years experience in TMFL products
- Must have an understanding of the Moffett TMFL hydraulic and electrical systems, and understanding of fault finding processes, with a strong mechanical background
- Understanding of PDM systems and working within a controlled environment
- Competent user of all Microsoft Office programs excel, word and PowerPoint and knowledge of their application in daily work
- Must be able to fault find and solve problems that arise within the day to day TMFL business, capable of working alone or at times part of a team. Must be capable of performing Service Training sessions either here in Dundalk or abroad. Must be willing to travel for work when needed
