The Purpose of Your Role

Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is seeking a highly motivated Principal Software Engineer (Tech Lead) to join FFIO-NAV team in Dublin. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will provide technical vision and leadership over critical capabilities as part of our multi-year program to continually evolve our FFIO-NAV platforms with an intent of eventual move to Public Cloud. You will also provide leadership and will act as a mentor for the Technology team across global sites. You will also be heavily involved in various Key Initiatives across multiple neighborhoods like Invest Frontier and Firm Foundation.

• Successful delivery of key technology efforts in support of our business/Architecture strategy

• Ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with our long-term strategy

• Mentoring and developing more junior technical staff across multiple global sites

• Understand the Fund Accounting Business domain, bridge the gap between technology and business and coach junior members to do the same

The Expertise We’re Looking For 

• 8+ years of experience in Analysis, Design, Development and Production Support

• Proven knowledge of Java, Springboot and various Frameworks, Angular & Cloud.

• Proven Knowledge of Oracle DB/SQL

• Extensive knowledge of engineering and continuous delivery practices

• In depth knowledge of Relational databases (Oracle)

• Knowledge of cloud technologies including designing solutions that use AWS services such as EKS, RDS, S3, ALB, CloudWatch, ElastiCache and Lambda.

• Significant background in solving complex technology/business challenges

• AWS certification is a strong plus

• Experience in data analysis is a plus

• Knowledge of Finance Industry is a plus

• Knowledge of Fund Accounting is a plus
