Principal Email Production specialist

As a Senior Integration Consultant, you will leverage your technical expertise to architect sophisticated API triggered transactional email campaigns with our development teams. You will work closely with our Marketing Automation Managers, Integration Consultants, Email Campaign Managers and Email Development teams to solution effective API integrations and support business units.



Act as a technical liaison between multiple engineering teams and our Customer Success Marketing department

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, Design, Content, Legal) to scope and design technical solutions

Support business units to facilitate email deployment on their behalf

Help solution and architect sophisticated email campaigns in our email marketing service provider platform

Reverse engineer multifaceted data-driven email campaigns for opportunities to optimize and streamline operations

Devise solutions to overcome platform limitations

Provide support to email development teams and help resolve platform issues and edge-case scenarios

Help engineering teams migrate from internal SMTP systems to our email marketing service provider

Help resolve file transfer issues from our email marketing service provider to internal SFTP servers

Act as subject matter expert and address questions regarding email marketing automation and best practices

Query behavioral metric logs to verify integration configurations and customer complaint inquiries

Spot-check the most critical aspects of email campaign configurations

Renew and help install SSL certificates in our email marketing service provider

Help data transfer application and site reliability engineering teams resolve API errors and connection issues

Work with our site reliability engineering and IT team on subdomain delegations

Run technical meetings



Bachelor’s degree is required

Excellent project management, time management, and problem-solving skills

Detailed oriented self-starter who can learn new tools and reverse engineer projects with minimal supervision

Previous experience thriving in a fast-paced and demanding environment with fluctuating priorities

5+ years’ experience with:

Building sophisticated dynamic email campaigns in an Email Marketing Service Providers such as Responsys, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot or Selligent. Responsys experience is preferred

Any programming language with great understanding of conditional statements, functions and operators

Working with API calls and JSON payloads

Query string parameters and Adobe Analytics tags

SQL and joining multiple tables

A/B and multi-variant testing

Suppressions, control/hold-out groups, targeting, segmentation and working with distribution lists

Setting up reporting dashboards

Setting up SFTP file transfers in email marketing service providers

Solid understanding of:

Email deliverability issues and how to prevent them

CAN-SPAM, GDPR and email best practices

Understanding of how to code HTML emails and resolve rendering issues across multiple email clients is a plus

Understanding of mobile response design is a plus

Experience with the following tools is a plus:


JIRA, QuickBase or any other ticketing system

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
