Pre-Sales Solution Architect

We are looking for dedicated Pre-Sales Architect to become part of our pre-sales and bid team, focused primarily on public sector opportunities. You’ll be able to specify, architect and demonstrate solutions based on the Dynamics Power Platform and wider Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical and functional knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Power Platform and Dynamics 365 applications as well as new and emerging Microsoft cloud technologies. You will be responsible for the design of Business Applications solutions using Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps and third-party technologies.​

Person Specification

​You will be driven, resilient, curious, confident and commercially aware.  You will have the ability to determine strong technology solutions for our clients, often working on turning around proposals and bids to meet unmovable external timescales and deadlines.​

We’re looking for a experienced architect with a strong grasp of written communication with the ability to demonstrate solutions in terms of business outcomes and not just functionality. You will have:​

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and process and solution oriented abilities.​
  • Over 5 years experience with Dynamics 365 CE or Power Platform in presales, project management, consulting or implementation roles.​
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of presenting to group sizes from 2 - 30 people at all levels in the client organisation, from Senior Director to support staff, to technical & non-technical audiences.​
  • Experience of analysing and responding to PQQ, RFT, ITT and other requirement documentations, summarising the risks and challenges contained within.​
  • Ability to partner across across various functional groups including account executives, professional services, product development, marketing and strategic partners.​
  • Developing a technical contextual and conceptual architecture aligned to the Microsoft stack for new opportunities.
  • Ability to analyse and respond to scored customer requirements through written communication and diagrams aligned to a conceptual architecture.​
  • Ability to develop presentation material and demonstration scenarios for sales presentations.​
  • Experience in a combined pre-sales and delivery role with broad experience across Microsoft’s three clouds – Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, Azure and Microsoft 365.​
  • Supporting prioritised sales cycles, helping with strategy, competitive positioning, demonstrations and presentations.​
  • Identifying, understanding and defining client needs, objectives and business drivers and design a solution that can best meet the clients’ requirements.​
  • Participating in sales cycles to support new and ongoing opportunities.​
  • Providing estimates for both fixed price and time and materials projects aligned to your defined solution architecture.​
  • Handing over and supporting the delivery team during the initial phases of won deals.​
  • Attend industry seminars, conferences and events to raise Codec’s profile and maintain own up to date knowledge of industry.​
  • Work with Commercial leads to gain an understanding of Microsoft product licensing as it changes rapidly.​
