Platform Architect (Post-Sale)

Job Description

We are seeking another experienced Platform Architect to join our EMEA Post-sales team being a regional expert responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the Zendesk sales cycle. As a Platform Architect, you are both sales focused and technically savvy. You will be successful in selling to Enterprise and Mid Market executives, and convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of the software solution. You will work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their prospects. Typically but not exclusively, you will be working with our customer’s own architecture and technical teams too. You will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our prospects to drive customer happiness by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone.

  • You have 5+ years of Mid Market/Enterprise software selling experience.
  • You have knowledge in web/scripting technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SaaS applications. Worked with Rest APIs, Web Services, Backend integrations, Database design, Data modeling
  • You have experience scoping, leading, and executing customer pilots and Proof of Concepts and mapping RFI/RFP requirements to software solutions.
  • You have superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing solution and influencing new product development.
  • You have an obvious passion and people skills.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation, and writing skills.
  • You love sparring with customer Enterprise Architects, recommending best practices, and challenging the perceived status quo
  • You are passionate about rapidly evolving new technologies and keen to promote in 1:1 and 1:M environments

 

Desired Skills

  • A second (or third) European language is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree; a graduate degree is a plus.
  • Call Center Experience is Desired (and a huge plus!)
  • Being a Certified AWS Architect would be fantastic!
  • Previous experience as a technical evangelist, technical product manager, or another role where both technical and interpersonal skills are required
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Demonstrable curiosity, with a specific personal interest in technical problem solving and providing creative, best-in-class technical customer support
