Operations Data Analytics Product Manager

  • Supporting the operational areas to understand their data & analytics needs and helping them to articulate the requirements in a manner that can be delivered upon by the central D&A team
  • Actively identify and propose solutions for business-critical problems that arise and threaten the ability to deliver upon operational KPIs
  • Accountable for leading several D&A projects simultaneously and will ensure the successful delivery of those projects on time, within budget and to the quality expected
  • Managing multiple pipelines of operations D&A, BI (Business Intelligence), RPA (Robotics Process Automation), ML (Machine Learning) and Predictive Modelling initiatives and working with the operations directors to manage these pipelines and prioritise the initiatives based on business value
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify crossovers in data requirements and opportunities for joint development opportunities and ensure alignment of metrics with the other critical areas such as Finance and HR
  • Researching internal & external data tools and, working with the central D&A team, understand the capabilities of our DW and BI tools
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging other non-operational company data to ensure maximum effectiveness of the reporting and analytics solutions
  • Analyse the current operational data sources to identify readily available data for management dashboards
  • Build and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders/SME’s and technical delivery teams
  • Working alongside the central D&A teams to ensure the data quality of existing and new sources is verified and they are effectively challenge and supported to avoid and gaps and risks to the delivery of a projects
  • Assist with the creation of automated operational dashboards (for the COO and his teams) that combine existing and new data sources, and where possible looking for opportunities to utilise new BI and Visualisation tools to maximise the effectiveness of the reporting
  • Analyse key data trends and benchmark performance making recommendations
  • Support in the development of business cases for D&A resourcing and other initiatives that enable and align to overall business and technology strategies
  • 5 years + experience within a data analysis or analytics role
  • Min of 4 years working as a Tableau Developer building sophisticated dashboards.
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Knowledge of BI solution toolsets for example Tableau, PowerBI, R, Cognos, Essbase
  • Prior experience of Enterprise Software Applications, Business systems development or migration projects or Database solution / Data analytics projects
  • Strong commercial and operational focus with a clear understanding of how Aer Lingus’ commercial position impacts on the operational fulfilment
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive, “can-do” approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and effective presentation skills
  • Ability and drive to learn new technologies, tools and processes
  • Ability to guide and advise the wider team on best practices
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
