Software Developer/ Engineer/ Architect

.Net Developer

My client is recruiting for a .Net Developer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be remote working initially.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile preferred
  • Creating and maintaining Microsoft .Net applications
  • Providing third line support for a wide range of applications and systems
  • Analysing problems including root cause analysis
  • Collaborating effectively with the Service Delivery, Transformation and Change teams
  • Effective and timely communication with all involved parties

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing .Net solutions
  • Developing quality solutions in support of the business within the required service level agreements & schedule
  • Providing solutions that meet the IT organization’s architecture & security standards ensuring secure, robust, maintainable, testable & extendable applications.
  • Writing technical specification documents
  • Understanding complex applications & their integrations with other systems
  • Providing 3rd level support for production systems
  • Working with other teams in order to resolve issues & deliver solutions
  • Ensuring the smooth transition from project phase to live applications with a detailed handover & training for the application support team
  • Writing & maintaining system documentation
  • Defining and driving continuous improvement within the context of strategic objectives

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Strong technical skills in the following areas; C#, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, WCF, Entity Framework required
  • MS CRM 2013 or MS Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Web API, .Net Core, MVC, NET, JavaScript, jQuery preferred
  • XML, JSON, Git, TFS, Azure Devops preferred
  • VBA, Visual Basic, Net, MS Access preferred
  • Automated testing preferred

Educational Requirements

  • Computer Science Degree
  • MS certification would be a benefit
  • 25 days per annum
