Lead Software Engineer

This role will be principal in our initiatives to modernize and migrate key applications to public cloud (primarily Azure.) This would include taking defined Architecture to design through implementation with about 50% effort focused on mentorship (including code and pull-request reviews) and 50% on development. Join us! Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and continuously improve software
  • Translate product concepts into project commitments that deliver incremental value to our customers frequently and with high quality
  • Mentor the engineering team through code reviews, and hands-on design sessions.

  • Experience in one or more of the follow languages Java and JavaScript with the ability to translate skills to target stack
  • Experience with User Interface development with React
  • Experience working with Azure PaaS offerings
  • Experience with engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, telemetry, agile and DevOps
  • Experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public / private cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture
  • Experience with multiple storage mechanisms including relational, columnar, key-value, graph or the like
  • Experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed patterns
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience working with Node
  • Experience delivering reusable components, patterns, tools
  • Solid understanding of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices
  • Experience in the health care industry
