We are looking for someone who is ambitious and self-motivated to contribute to the Communications Design team in Q Branch as a Lead Communications Designer. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in delivering exceptional design outcomes, with a passion for innovation, teamwork and the ever changing world of design! An experienced conceptual creative who thrives on designing solutions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Individuals in this role will collaborate closely with our strategists, experience designers, developers and account teams to define and bring to life a common vision by using your full range of design skills to help push the boundaries of what is possible and craft memorable and impactful experiences – you’re all about ideas.
 

Primary responsibilities include:

A Design Lead: Inspire others as an exceptional designer, creative thinker and collaborator, familiar with evolving best practices and passionate about developing visual presentations and creative outcomes that balance business objectives with great storytelling. The role requires a self-starter design lead who's collaborative, creative and passionate about the success of our customers. Designing inspiring content that captivates audiences. Drive Design Excellence: You’re a visual master at your craft, maintaining a high standard of execution across the team and driving exploration of new design thinking methodologies, design medium and solutioning practices. Foster high levels of creativity while championing outcome-oriented creative thinking and design excellence. Encourage the development of creative services and practitioners efficacy, nurturing design talent within Communication Design.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Significant years of experience crafting and designing high-end presentation decks for C-suite executives using PowerPoint, Google Slides & Keynote.
  • Portfolio of published work that demonstrates a wide range of work representing multiple visual approaches, techniques, target audiences and content types.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with mastery of PowerPoint or Keynote and Figma
  • Deep understanding of best practices for persuasive presentation structures and storytelling to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences.
  • Communicate well and listens to client and stakeholder needs to make the project successful
  • Exceptional written communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around concepts, designs and final presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

Compelling Presentation Style: you are skilled at presenting to a spectrum of audiences, from customers to executive leadership.

Design Thinking: you have a strong understanding of the creative development process. Ability to work with an extended team of creatives to understand complex customer requirements and craft custom solutions

Technology curiosity: you possess a keen interest in how technology can solve problems from the everyday to the life changing. The potential of how technology can create a better tomorrow excites you

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent relevant work experience in a marketing, branding or agency environment.

Desired skills:

  • Additional skills in motion graphics/animation, 3D modelling would be beneficial.
  • Experience in live graphic facilitation
  • User Experience, HTML, CSS and/or Project Management skills are a plus
