We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Junior Telecoms Engineer who is committed to their work and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for the support and expansion of a global core network. This is a great opportunity for a junior engineer to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of experienced engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.
- Technologies preferred: Diameter, SS7, IP, SIP, PRTG, SolarWinds, Jira, Linux.
- Experience with Wireshark network analyser and scripting languages an advantage.
- 2 years’ experience in telecoms support or a Degree in Computer/Telecoms Engineering.
- Proven track record in working with small teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting network issues.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Desire to learn from and collaborate with peers.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
- Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
- Ability to prioritise work tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Availability to support out-of-hours work where required and on-call rota.
