About the Role

The Service Discovery team's mission is to provide a world-class Discovery, Configuration and Orchestration solution for our customers. We provide a scalable and resilient service and configuration information to all services in the Workday stack, using technologies such as  Kubernetes, Docker, Chef, Java, AKKA and Apache Zookeeper

We use mainly Java, and we are looking for candidates excited by micro services, multi-threading and concurrency and solving interesting distributed systems design questions.

As a Software Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for developing discovery, configurations and orchestration APIs using our technology stack in an highly distributed environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You are able to design and develop enterprise solutions with high quality standards.
  • We give extra credits for a minimalist approach: build small components that can be embedded in larger frameworks or applications.
  • Understand and use Design Patterns to deliver scalable and always available solutions.
  • Working with your team members to achieve the delivery goals is part of your daily routine.
  • Bachelors or higher degree in a computer related field.
  • 5+ years experience in Design and development in Java.
