This involves the Desktop Support Engineer assisting all end users with technical and telephony related queries either by telephone, email, online or desk visit including installing, supporting, and maintaining system hardware and software, establishing and managing user accounts, backup and recovery tasks, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary IT support for local and remote users by responding to IT support queries received via telephone, email, online or desk visit:
  • Manage user accounts and resolving issues with user accounts
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware faults such as PC's, screens, printers, phones, tablets & PDAs etc.
  • Diagnose and resolve IT Application issues - Office programmes, Open Accounts, Open Logistics etc.
  • Diagnose and resolve internet access issues - availability, performance, security, etc.
  • Configure and install and test Server, PC & Application Systems - including at remote sites where required.
  • Make recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and processes.
  • Meet agreed SLA's for provision of support.
  • A minimum of 5 Years IT Support experience
  • Good Desktop and Applications Management experience (Microsoft OS, Office)
  • Office 365, Active Directory and Citrix experience
  • ITIL Knowledge \ Change Control Experience
  • Helpdesk Ticket Management
