IT Security Designer

My Dublin City Centre based client is looking for an experienced IT Security Architect to join their team on a contract basis. This is a daily rate contract contract position.

Job Responsibilities:

The IT Security Architect is responsible for designing security controls into solutions and services being introduced, identify potential control gaps and assess any associated risk.

  • Information and IT Control awareness, design and documentation
  • Risk organisation, identification, assessment, treatment and reporting
  • Provide support and guidance to key change delivery agenda items
  • Involvement in IT security reviews with IT Security
  • Assist in IT security solution reviews
  • Attendance at the IT Architecture Review Board
  • Security Incident reporting and remediation
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including business areas, IT project and development teams, risk and compliance and relevant 3rd party suppliers
  • Support project delivery through planning, assessment and transition to live service as a key stakeholder in the SDLC process
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cope with changing demands based on business priority
  • Customer service orientation, with an attitude of personal “ownership” for all work

Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years IT experience and at least 3 years in a similar role
  • Strong IT Security background
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud computing and applicable security standards
  • Strong controls background in processes, procedures and controls
  • Proven ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage own workload according to changing priorities
  • Highly organised and self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritise effectively and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and report-writing skills to all levels within the company
  • Displays a customer focus and “can do” attitude
  • Ability to deliver in challenging environment

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours per week

Essential and Desirable Skills:

  • CISSP, CISM and or CCSP would be beneficial to the role
  • ITIL Foundation V3 certification or good understanding of ITIL processes
  • Experience with industry standard tools such as IDAM, SIEM, Cyber Ark
  • Cybercrime – good working knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with Radar or industry standard risk management tools

Educational Requirements:

  • 3rd Level qualification in IT is preferred.
