IT Security Architect

Overview
The IT Security Architect for will work with IT, OT and business process specialists to capture the corporate strategy in enough detail to enable them plan the required business solutions and technology portfolio on a multiyear basis. This is a strategic role, combining technical and business understanding with road mapping and planning competencies, involving big-picture thinking and the ability to visualise and articulate future state IT landscapes.  

 

Key Elements of the Role
 

  • Support the Head of Information Security Manager by performing security risk assessments, technical IT Security controls reviews to test and monitor compliance with Information Security policies; 
     
  •  Participate in the development of Glanbia’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) to ensure delivery of an Information Security strategy that supports business goals;
     
  • Assess existing and proposed technology and security architectures, identify security design gaps, and recommend changes or enhancements to meet security control objectives;
     
  • Develop and maintain a catalogue of information security policies and standards;
     
  • Work with Identity & Access Management functions to ensure processes and technologies are aligned to Information Security standards;
     
  • As part of a team, respond to and manage security incidents and alerts;
     
  •  Work with suppliers of IT, OT and security services to ensure the on-going maintenance of a secure operating environment across all Glanbia locations;
     
  • Promote the importance of Information Security and IT Risk Management.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (NFQ 7 or higher) in IT or associated discipline
     
  • CISM, CISA, CISP or similar security qualification

 

Experience
 

  • A minimum of 5+ years IT Security / IT governance 
  • Experience of designing and implementing Information Security frameworks (e.g. ISO27000 and NIST)  
  • Experience of dealing with and managing third-party consultants in a project implementation
  • Stakeholder & relationship management across multiple business units.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
