Our team of technology specialist crafts the architectural blueprints for the technology solutions of Janssen. Our focus is on application and data architectures, end-2-end integrations, innovation and advanced analytics. Our solution designs strive for an excellent and streamlined digital experience for patients, customers, and employees!

The best-fit architect is passionate about technology, but always puts the users first. The focus of the Solution Architect will be on digital related technologies, digital innovation and digital best practices.

He or she will possess the ability to look at the big picture but also to go deep into solution architecture technical design. The perfect candidate will have proven communication and visualization skills and be a phenomenal teammate with a collaborative demeanour.

We're looking for someone with the mentality to design patterns, and flexible, reusable components, strong problem-solving mentality and be creative and highly interested in innovative technologies, while also being structured and methodological in approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our teams of Business Technology Leaders (BTLs), Product Line Owners (PLOs), and Enterprise Architects to drive the evolution of Janssen's Digital Technology frameworks, roadmaps, reference architecture, and technical foundations of applications and their interaction.
  • Promote and educate our regional PLOs on digital technology trends and drive technology innovation based on business strategy and industry trends
  • Lead digital technology evaluations and conduct Proof of Concepts & Proof of Values to demonstrate capabilities based on Janssen EMEA needs
  • Develop end-to-end solution architecture of key strategic solutions in partnership with our digital product line team to enable end to end customer engagement journeys for healthcare professionals & patients through digital technology innovations.
  • Partner and collaborate with global Pharma Enterprise Architects and Technology Services IT teams to define and improve the use of enterprise architectures and assets
  • Partner with Technology Services to ensure development of the solutions adhere to the proposed solution architecture, standard methodologies & principles.
  • Collaborate with product lines & other solution architects to apply the right integration patterns in order to create solid integration architecture designs
  • Understand external & internal regulatory frameworks (GDPR, Healthcare Business Integrity, …) and take these into account when developing architecture designs
  • Engage with industry consortia, analysts, customers, and peers to stay abreast and drive and influence the direction
  • Lead & coordinate project architectural teams
  • Follow-up budget plan & spending for architectural work

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability working in the IT space (minimum 5 years).
  • A good understanding of modern web frameworks (e.g. ReactJS, NodeJS, Gatsby).
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management technologies and industry standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, ...).
  • Knowledge of API management and development: REST and GraphQL, as well as event driven architectures.
  • Superb communication and consultation skills to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings to partners at all levels.
  • Confirmed ability to collaborate optimally and establish relationships with business teams, IT colleagues, and technology vendors.
  • Experience in Cloud DevOps & Security to enable true CI/CD product pipelines
  • Able to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

Preferred:

Hands-on technical experience with solutions like

  • Marketing automation tools like Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console,...)
  • Cookie and consent management solutions (e.g. OneTrust)
  • Personalisation tools (e.g. Optimizely, Customer Data Platform, ...)

Experience in the Life Sciences Industry and/or GxP environment.
