Join us as an IT Application Manager

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager this position will form an integral part of the IT Operations team with responsibility for driving service excellence and stability in the IT Operations domain from an Application perspective. This is for both our internal and external customers alike, while still facilitating necessary changes to the environment. 

The role will manage the operational stability and performance of IT Applications delivered to the business while liaising with wider IT area, Three Business and IT suppliers. 

What else it involves  
Management of the IT applications provided by the technology department to both internal business stakeholders and external customers from an operations perspective.
Responsible for defining and managing the operational metrics with IT suppliers for all IT Applications. This should be linked to business and customer requirements. 
Responsible for Vendor management of MSP and 3rd party IT Suppliers to ensure they fulfil their contractual obligations for the IT domain. 
Will be required to provide expert management support to high impacting non P1 / P2 incidents based on Business priority. Ensuring the correctives actions and lessons learned are completed.
Responsible for the actions coming out of key service management processes – Incident, Change and Problem Management for the IT domain.
Work closely with Service Management teams to ensure IT applications are operated correctly. This will involve reporting, tracking and reacting to changes in key IT KPI’s.
Ensure IT Operational budget is managed for all IT Applications & IT Suppliers.
Work collaboratively on IT Domain strategy & risks with wider IT team including IT Architects. Ensure IT risks are reported, tracked and actioned appropriately.
Work collaboratively with the IT delivery team to ensure all projects are transitioned into operations with minimal customer and business impact.
Responsible for the Capacity and Optimisation of all IT applications ensuring future growth is facilitated. 
Evolve Three’s IT Operational support model to fit within a dev/ops framework, supporting a more agile way of working and being more flexible to take into account evolving technology trends
 

  • Experience in an IT Operations or Service delivery role within a multi stakeholder and vendor environment
  • Experience managing large IT Managed Service contracts.
  • Exceptional ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers required.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence others at different levels.
  • Proven track record in striving for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proven team player in working with one’s peers to ensure that delivery of service is timely, efficient and of high quality.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills together with the ability to deliver to SMT level.
  • Proven commercial awareness and a track record of working with multinational vendors / partners.
  • Experience in creating a high performance culture through target setting, performance evaluation, and employee engagement.

Nice to Have

  • Practical financial budget experience and a track record of management experience operating at a high level in the organization.
  • Project Management capabilities with ability to plan, initiate, monitor and implement projects within a team.
  • Appreciation of how technology can improve business processes
  • ITIL Qualification (Intermediate certificate desirable)
