About this role

This is a design role which will suit someone with a passion for researching, testing and implementing new ISP technologies.

You’ll join a team of IP design experts working in on core network technology. Your role is a key design team member contributing to customer’s designs and solutions. You’ll develop the core network and core platforms from their current architecture to the next generation network deployments. You will lead innovation to bring new ideas and products to the market quickly and efficiently and before our competitors.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • You will own the development of the MPLS Core, ISP Core and all technical documentation. 
  • You will act as ‘front door’ for all pre-sales queries for bids on Data/IP networks.
  • You will create innovative solutions to optimize our existing infrastructure and when applicable, collaborate with product to implement new product launches. 
  • You will identify projects/designs that are not viable and make sure they do not pass through the design process.
  • You will contribute and own the documentation of core Design solutions. 
  • You will be responsible for the evaluation and testing of the equipment.
  • You’ll work with Security Team to ensure that all new solution/equipment introductions comply with Security guidelines. 
  • You’ll ensure that new product introductions & solutions are communicated to the Networks community.
  • CCNP Certified
  • Anticipate that you will hold CCDP Certification but not essential
  • NRS1/2 Certfications would be highly desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrable background in design of systems architecture & network systems (especially core)
  • Appetite to research test and implement new technologies
