Join our diverse and inclusive Data Interaction Team located within the Center for Intelligent Power (CIP) at Eaton’s HQ in Dublin. Our newly formed team act as experience owners for emerging products and services across Eaton’s varied business units (Electrical, eMobility, Vehicle, Aerospace etc). The Data Interaction Team are responsible for creating and maintaining data visualization standards and engaging a full UX research lifecycle across these products. The team is growing and we’re looking for an intern to support our efforts and to learn and grow with us.
Internship Duration: 6-9 months
Job Description
This role includes but is not limited to the following deliverables:
Understand complex workflows and turn these into clear interface experiences
Create wireframes, prototypes and supporting visuals for web applications that intuitively satisfy the needs of a diverse customer base
Participate in usability testing to validate proposed designs and iterate on your work based on feedback
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to optimize for customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities
Work on designs spanning from proof of concepts, demos, dashboards and mobile apps
Create reusable data component designs that are aesthetically pleasing and intuitive to use
Advocate endlessly for the customer/user
Qualifications
Required Skills/Qualifications
You have or are pursuing a qualification in UX Design, Visual Design, Product Design, Graphic Design or another multimedia/technology-related field (other degrees are considered when accompanied by an aptitude in design)
Skills: wireframing, prototyping, flow diagramming
Tools: Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite
A portfolio of work demonstrating your skills
Desired Skills/Qualifications
Qualification in UX/UI Design or related field
Knowledge of Design Thinking methods and their application
Some understanding of HTML/CSS
