Infrastructure Tech Specialist - Dublin - C13/VP (R2102060)

The Infrastructure Senior Manager is role responsible for driving adoption strategies, executing projects for upgrades and rollouts, providing technical guidance in coordination with the Technology Application Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, evaluate, provide resources and drive a team towards realistic goals
  • Apply technical expertise to strategize for current/future technological developments and serve as point of contact for technical questions related to infrastructure needs
  • Responsible for delivery of end results and resource planning; shares responsibility for growth management which directly impacts the Technology Infrastructure area
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of how Technology Infrastructure integrates within the overall technology function to achieve business goals
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluate controls to help mitigate negative outcomes through prevention, detection and correction
  • Persuades and influences others through communication skills; may negotiate with external parties
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • In close coordination with the GFT Application Managers, development and implementation of a practical strategic architecture vision for assigned GFTS application portfolios, including target state architectures and associated roadmaps·
  • ·Strategic planning focused on cloud enablement and adoption of cloud-native services, platform-as-a-service, and convergence on strategic platforms and technologies
  • Maximizing portfolio compliance with enterprise and GFT infrastructure principles, best practices and standards, and ensuring ongoing alignment with GFT technology and application portfolio strategies and roadmaps
  • Maximizing reuse within assigned GFT application portfolios through leveraging of existing services, frameworks and components and development of new reusable services, frameworks and components where appropriate
  • ·Forward-looking strategic thought leadership identifying emerging technology trends internal to Citi standards and formulating value propositions and actionable strategies for alignment of application portfolios·
  • Initial point of contact as well as coordinator for technology-related matters involving infrastructure initiated within assigned GFT portfolios (e.g. POCs, systemic production issues, assistance with architecture tools, requests for assistance from other technology organizations, inquiries concerning standards, guidelines, or best practices, etc.)·
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Technology Infrastructure role with people management experience
  • Hands-on systems architecture or related technology experience in a complex, multi-vendor systems environment
  • ·Proven track record related to formulation and driving execution of a holistic data and technology strategy for an organization or function. Ability to support and implement an appropriate business-aligned strategic architecture vision for a functional area.·
  • Practitioner/Expert level understanding of enterprise architecture concepts, frameworks, models, methodologies and disciplines
  • ·Strong familiarity with both traditional and agile software development lifecycles.
  • ·Strong familiarity with systems, business, data, and technical architecture disciplines, including exposure to key technology products in the areas of data processing / ETL, Message-oriented middleware, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Business Process Analysis & Modelling, BigData, Micro Services, Docker containers, cloud-native services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • ·Programming / development experience with ETL tools e.g. Ab-Initio, Java/JEE, Python, Spark
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to partner with virtual and in-person teams, define goals to a team, and work under pressure or to a deadline

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
