Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

About the Team

The Infrastructure team is looking for Engineers that want to work and grow in a collaborative workspace while helping to drive the business forward. We focus on enabling Workday's growth in the public cloud by crafting, deploying and maintaining fully automated, resilient and scalable infrastructure-as-a-service

 

About the Role

As a member of our diverse and skilled Infrastructure Public Cloud team we have the chance to define, implement and maintain Workday’s public cloud across different cloud providers. On a typical day, we work as part of a hardworking agile team responsible for building and deploying production infrastructure-as-a-service running in the public cloud that are fully automated through APIs. We use Infrastructure-as-code and automation to make continuous improvements
to how the team maintains the infrastructure and services they own.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of confirmed experience with one or more of the following public cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • 3+ years working with Linux operating systems
  • 3+ years shown ability in one of the following functional languages: Ruby, Go, or Python
  • 3+ years delivering Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform

Other Qualifications

  • Experience producing code using SDLC and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with HashiCorp Consul and Vault.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills and passion to collaborate across teams and organisations
  • Problem solving skills that involve analysis of logs, traffic trace, configuration data.
  • Experience of supporting virtualised production environment workloads
