My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Head of IT Services to join the team on a perm basis. This role will be remote working initially with a view of a hybrid model after that. The successful candidate will lead the IT Service Management & Infrastructure Team.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead selection & negotiation including business partner buy in for all internal & 3rd Party IT Suppliers
- Monitor & manage to agreed targets all related activities & suppliers
- General Broad knowledge of technologies & trends within the IT industry
- Negotiation & management of Service Level Agreements
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes
- A broad technical background with solid product development & project management accomplishments in a cost responsible environment.
- Broad knowledge of the concepts, standards, technology, tools, procedures, hardware, software services in use for delivering IT Services
- Good knowledge of applications & technologies used to support the main business processes including Cloud technologies & O365
- Knowledge of the structure & processes within IT services.
Experience Required
- You will build close working relationships with the business to maintain a strategic overview of business priorities, & supporting IT requirements (including infrastructure), and ensure that these are delivered & represented to IT Providers.
- Put business measures in place to track the IT aspects of core business processes
- You will ensure Service Management, Infrastructure & Security Reviews are run on a frequent basis with business functions.
- You will take ownership of IT Security & related security standards & compliance with data protection laws.
- Establish & deliver required infrastructure management processes to ensure efficient, safe , quality & cost effective IT delivery, for example User Accounts, encryption , mobile device management.
- Maintain close working relationships with IT Services organization, & other suppliers in order to ensure that the IT needs and issues of the business are clearly represented & understood.
- You will manage the negotiation & on-going management of service contracts (SLAs) for IT services with all IT suppliers ensuring that the services negotiated by IT are achievable and meet users needs
- You will manage change management process to ensure that new requests are effectively prioritized/scheduled; developments are effectively supported and managed ; and new deployments smoothly implemented
- You will manage the execution of Information security standards, policies, processes & procedures
- You will provide leadership, motivation & guidance for the IT Service Management & Infrastructure team – including recruitment, retention, development, performance management and monitoring
Essential and Desirable Skills
- 10 years’ experience in the IT Industry, including a min of 5 years experience in IT Manager roles
- A min of 2 years in Service Management roles preferred.
- Budget/Staff management
- Technical expertise on Wintel PC & Server infrastructure an advantage
Educational Requirements
- Degree level or significant relevant IT experience
- ITIL certification.
- MCSE standard & Wintel skills
- Understanding of Cloud Technology
- 38 Hour Working Week
