Frontend Engineer - Merchant Product Performance

As a Frontend Engineer within our Zalando Direct (Zalando’s Marketplace) department, you will be joining our Sales Performance team which helps our Partners to understand and improve their performance on the Zalando Platform. You will be building applications to give partners visualisations and in-depth breakdowns of how their business is performing in terms of sales and growth across the different markets of Zalando. This will help partners to make strategic decisions in order to grow their businesses. 

You will join a community of Frontend Engineers in the Zalando Direct department who collaborate and support each other in building applications. 

We at Zalando Direct build a platform that enables our 300+ brands and retailers to sell directly to 45+ million active customers across 23 countries. Zalando Direct is the technological backbone of Zalando’s Partner Program. We’ve developed a suite of sophisticated, data-driven tools and services that aim to further accelerate value-creation on the Zalando platform. These tools are built to empower brands, offering them frictionless access for both web and mobile interfaces, as well as API solutions, all backed by automation and sophisticated services to enable smart decision-making.  We provide our partners with invaluable context, benchmarks, and insights into their performance in a multi-branded environment.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Ability to write well formatted, structured, documented and clean code that interacts with backend technologies.
  • Experienced in ECMAScript, HTML5, CSS and JS build tools like Webpack. Typescript experience is a good plus
  • Effective communication skills in English and ability to understand business requirements
  • A desire to constantly learn and improve your own skills
  • 3+ years of experience in dedicated frontend projects with modern frameworks such as React, AngularJS or VueJS
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, Node.js “backend for frontend”, AWS, OAuth 2.0 is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for direct and frequent interaction with the users, and interest in discovering opportunities collaborating closely with UX, Product and other colleagues
  • Comfortable in promoting inclusive culture practices and processes that are models for others
