We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer (CCTV) to service and support new and existing security customers by responding to service calls, carrying out planned installation and maintenance works. This role will provide an exceptional customer service experience whilst completing routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of CCTV security systems, access control, Intruder and fire systems. This role will report, update and document changes or deficiencies with newly installed or existing security systems. The successful candidate will ensure to maintain and service the Netwatch systems to ensure compliance with Industry standards and procedures. They will work closely with the Technical Operations team to ensure problems are prevented, identified and resolved efficiently for customers and work with team members consistently to continually improve overall operations of Netwatch. This role will be based in the Dublin area, with travel required to sites across Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service and repair of security systems and other associated equipment
- Maintaining safe work environment at all times and have a good understanding of Health and Safety i.e. Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures etc
- Work closely with the Technical Operations team, ensuring time is managed efficiently and jobs are prioritised correctly
- Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the systems working and functionality
- Provide excellent customer service to exceed the expectations and requirements of the internal and external customers
- Focus on customer satisfaction whilst completing routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of security systems and associated equipment and products
- Ensure all customer queries are followed up accurately and provide technical knowledge and support where possible
- An ability to negotiate both internally and externally with various stakeholders including customers
- Manage the customer relationship and liaise as appropriate with the relevant sales account manager for the customer, ensuring key focus on the customer and their needs are met.
- Ensure excellent personal presentation and represent the company in a polite and professional manner at all times
- Correctly complete engineer work reports, handover certificates or checklist as appropriate
- Detail recommendations for further works and non-compliances
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant Security Standards
- Maintain and service the Netwatch systems to ensure compliance with Industry standards
- Participate in the on-call rota diary
- Accurately document field support activities, including qualification and service reports, expense report and timely submit through the required systems.
- Work closely with Operations to try to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise for customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Review effective stock control of spare parts and consumables for equipment.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar CCTV Installation and Maintenance role
- Proven track record in the security sector (CCTV, Intruder and Access Control Systems)
- Ability to demonstrate experience of servicing, fault finding and repairing Security/Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV systems (Analogue & IP) and Access Control Systems
- Experience in wireless networks, fibre optics and associated fault finding an advantage
- Certification in Electrical Engineering beneficial
- Excellent technical skills related to electronic security systems
- Knowledge and understanding of the Security Market specialising in proactive video monitoring
- Familiarity with safe working practices and Health and Safety requirements
- Safe Pass card holder
- Full Drivers’ License
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills using MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Strong customer facing experience and skills
- Desire to expand knowledge, learn, grow and develop in a fast-moving business environment
- Energetic and motivated, able to work long hours when required to meet deadlines including overtime and being on call
- Excellent personal presentation and always represents the company in a polite and professional manner
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a changing workload
- Ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
