Owing to growth, Keelvar is looking for a remote based Engineering Team Lead to lead our Automation team.
The Automation team at Keelvar is dedicated to building AI-enabled Sourcing Bots. These intelligent agents automate the detailed workload of tactical buying, while using AI/ML to become more intelligent over time, freeing up our customers to be increasingly more agile, strategic, and creative.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be leading a critical group responsible for building our category specific AI Bots. The group is a cross functional team including developers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, UI, QA and product designers.

Responsibilities
Lead an autonomous cross-functional team, including developers, data scientists, QA, UX and UI designers.
Act as line manager for the developers on the team, conduct regular 1:1s, supporting your team to meet their career goals and be involved in all recruiting activities for your team.
We prefer people over process, so understanding the needs of your team, put in place the appropriate planning and delivery processes for your team.
Facilitate ceremonies for your team including standups, planning and retros focusing on an inclusive non-blame culture.
Be an advocate for your team unblocking roadblocks and enabling successful delivery.
Get stuck in and write code, do PR’s, write tests. We want you to be hands on as much as possible.Have in depth understanding of our tech stack and work closely with your team and technical leads as you architect solutions on a Service Oriented Architecture.
Responsible for the overall quality, usability, performance and operability of your product area in production.
Develop solutions that abstract away complexity via clean simple design while incorporating advanced technologies to create intelligent self learning features.
Collaborate with product managers, sales, marketing and customer success to gain an in-depth knowledge of the problem space and the market as a whole.

Your profile
You are an experienced technical team lead and have developed inclusive teams from the ground up.
You have a strong technical background of building SaaS products at scale. You enjoy surprising and delighting customers.
You are comfortable working and collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
You are a deep thinker, you like to innovate, you like to solve problems creatively, and are passionate about technology and people
You are a strong communicator and thrive in an environment of mutual respect, openness and collaboration. You enjoy getting things done at a quick pace.
You have programming skills in Python or Java or another OO language and you are comfortable working in an Agile environment.
