Employee Giving Operations Lead

Our Social Innovation efforts build upon PayPal’s unique expertise and extend it to have a meaningful, lasting social impact. We focus on four key areas: economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, improving financial health, and increased and diversified giving. To drive social impact and help sustain our environment globally, the Social Innovation team employs PayPal’s platform, products, and assets – especially our people.
The Employee Giving Operations Lead will support and increase our employee giving and engagement, specifically in Europe. The Lead will own reporting and data analytics around employee engagement, leveraging data, learnings and effective communication to enhance our programs. The Lead will also standardize operational procedures and systems to support Social Innovation operating functions, including but not limited to annual budget creation and tracking.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support on the creation of a global employee giving strategy: Support the development of an integrated approach to engaging PayPal’s global workforce in giving, focusing on building partnerships and engaging employees in PayPal’s European offices and leveraging data to improve participation.
  • Inspire giving: leverage data, campaign analysis, and storytelling to increase employee awareness of and participation in the matching (donation and volunteer) gifts program, including executing global giving campaigns to encourage employees to connect to PayPal’s social impact strategy.
  • Manage the matching gifts program: handle administrative aspects of employee giving, including review of matching gift requests, execution of giving campaigns and extra matching initiatives, and issuance of giving and new hire credits.
  • Lead employee engagement in rapid response: partner with Corporate Rapid Response Manager to develop and support a proactive employee fundraising policy for disaster relief; develop, implement, and market employee fundraising campaigns around disasters and other rapid response events; proactively identify and onboard relevant charities for disaster campaigns.
  • Manage place-based grants: execute the PayPal Community Impact grants program to connect employees to nonprofits that advance the firm’s mission; oversee the grant operations, including processing grants and reconciling funds.
  • Lead employee participation reporting and analysis: Review and reconcile employee giving and volunteerism data; develop and automate a dashboard to be shared with stakeholders at least quarterly; analyze participation data and share insights and trends with key stakeholders; reconcile and bulk upload volunteer hours for Social Innovation programs; create and distribute post-activation surveys; run ad-hoc participation reports for business units, ERGs, and external reporting needs.
  • Enable community impact learning: develop standardized operating procedures and learning materials, in coordination with Learning and Employee Volunteerism & Engagement Managers, to help scale employee participation in Social Innovation programs; continuously refine self-service resources to increase efficiency and employee awareness; manage the PayPal Community Impact inbox; support on other Social Innovation learning initiatives.
  • Support Social Innovation annual budget creation and tracking: Work closely with leadership to develop yearly social innovation and Corporate Advised Fund budget development. Support monthly reconciliation and analysis of operating and grant spend, and produce forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Support employee communications: Draft communications for employee volunteerism and employee giving efforts in partnership with Social Innovation and Communications partners, including creating communication plans and creative assets. 
  • Coordinate the adoption of volunteer events: Support with volunteer event adoption logistics and tracking to help scale employee involvement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • Global mindset – based in Europe
  • Fluency in English, French or German is an advantage 
  • Robust data analytics, data visualization and excel skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with employees who have diverse abilities and are in different geographies and levels within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage competing projects and requests
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
