The Job in a Nutshell

The learning Development Partner is responsible for influencing, guiding and providing proactive expertise to leaders and their teams in the area of Learning and Development to enable them achieve business goals.  You'll be responsible for leading the design, delivery and project management of a broad range of Development initiatives across each directorate. They will proactively identify and implement learning interventions to improve key skills and engagement.  Create an L&D functional area to be best in class and remain abreast of industry trends, best practice and new thinking.

  • Manage relationships and influence organisational development and growth opportunities with strong thought leadership and guidance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to influence the achievement of directorial goals
  • Explore external best practice learning, introduce new thinking and support growth and change across the organisation
  • Lead and participate in cross functional L&D programmes ensuring the alignment of ours people skills and growth and ensure programs are effectively implemented across the company and/or in business area
  • Support and mentor individuals and team members as required in directorates
  • Pro-actively assist the business in achieving its strategic objectives
  • Manage the delivery of programmes and projects end to end within a fast paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with business and other stakeholders as required
  • Lead the planning, communication and implementation of L&D interventions, effectively across the business directorates
  • Advise on, develop and implement L&D initiatives and programmes incorporating best practice and fresh thinking to support the company vision and business/people strategy
  • Continue to lead the adoption of digital ways of working ensuring appropriate touch and technology interactions that provide a great employee experience
  • Identify ways to monitor, analyse and measure key L&D insights and metrics
  • Represent Three externally at conferences and external events
  • Significant L&D business partnering experience ideally in a fast paced  retail environment
  • Proven experience and capability to project manage, lead and implement a wide range of L&D programmes using a structured approach 
  • Proven experience of delivering large programmes within a similar learning development role
  • The role requires engagement of a diverse range of stakeholders and excellent interpersonal skills: networking, negotiation, influencing, collaborating, presentation, written communications.
  • Confident in their ability to engage people at all levels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • High impact individual with strong track record in developing and implementing actionable L&D initiatives.
