This exciting Developer/Technical Analyst position sits within Energia Group Technology & Innovation; we are looking for talented and experienced IT professionals with a strong foundation in application support, who can contribute to the organisation's success. The successful candidate will act as a Developer/Technical Analyst within Technology & Innovation Operations analysing and responding to any issues that are reported or requested in relation to the Web Apps Squad. Reporting to the Web Apps Team Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential support to both Power NI and Energia across the Web Apps systems. Key responsibilities and accountabilities • Developing and implementing software applications to respond to changing business needs • Responsibility for providing root cause analysis to systems issues and management of third level support of solutions in production • Acting as a system expert by responding to and developing ad hoc queries and scripts, providing application support and updating legacy IT systems • Ensuring priority incidents are responded to and closed within the SLAs • Capturing and coordinating requirements on incidents • Engaging with internal customers/third parties to ensure the systems solutions continuously meet business requirements • Conducting a review of software development, test cases and evidence before applying changes to the production environment

Essential Criteria (qualifications, experience, skills or knowledge you MUST SHOW YOU HAVE to be considered for the job)

•  A third level qualification in a Computing related discipline 
• Strong experience in the following technologies: o C#.Net / VB.NET / ASP.NET o .Net Framework / .Net Core o MS SQL Server o Visual Studio (2008 and beyond) 
• Experience in developing front end web applications using various technologies 
• Experience in addressing and solving IT and business issues with third party vendors and internal stakeholders 
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills and programming ability 
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and adhere to deadlines 

Desirable Criteria (used to help decide between candidates who meet ALL the Essential Criteria) 

• Experience and/or appreciation of GitHub version control systems 
• Experience working in serverless technology in Azure 
• Experience in Azure Dev Ops 
• Experience with:

  • SSLCertificate experience 
  • IIS / Tomcat / Apache 
  • FTP/SFTP/FTPS 
• A General understanding of the electricity and gas industry
