Role Description:

As part of a multi-discipline, agile team, the Defender Platform Integration Specialist will work on automating Cyber Security processes through scripting and tools by partnering directly with Cyber Security Defense (CSD) analysts to identify repeatable workflows.   They will be working side-by-side with defender teams to optimize defender processes and bring innovative approaches to reducing complexity or risk while increasing operational performance. 

You will be a member of one of several small, continually-collaborating development teams who are focused on providing the necessary supports to rapidly improve cyber defense functions.  Your focus will be on the development of modular orchestrations that can be creatively used in different ways by different teams, but the nature of the overall team means you have the opportunity to pivot from detailed workflow design or troubleshooting to concept engineering for new orchestrations to investigative analysis of data flow needs to best predict risks.  You will work on a team that is uniquely situated to look across all the security teams and functions within GIS and who gets the opportunity to quickly and tangibly improve those functions.

• Curious, self-motivated, client-focused, and able to self-direct to meet deadlines, often in the absence of specific direction
• Experienced in Python development and Python frameworks – additional experience with Javascript and UI/UX frameworks is an additional plus, but not required.
• Experienced in process analysis and design to improve overall efficiency, mitigate resource conflicts, and improve customer/client experience
• Familiar with the concepts and tools used for Security Orchestration & Automated Response (SOAR); Specific experience with Splunk I Phantom is a major plus.
