Our exciting opportunity
We are looking for experienced software developers to join our team and work in open source communities in Cloud Native and Digital Infrastructure open source solution space.
Open source software constitutes a significant part of Ericsson products, and EST is looking for developers that can balance Ericsson’s needs while engaging and steering the relevant open source communities in an open and constructive manner.
The open source communities we are engaged in are primarily ONAP, Open RAN, Cloud Native technologies including the Kubernetes ecosystem, Spinnaker and other DevOps technologies. As needs evolve there will be requirements in other communities.

What you'll do
Implement cloud native and digital infrastructure software features in open source communities, including pipeline work.
Work directly with product R&D teams to refine requirements, define product architectures, integrate and test solutions.
Be self-motivated and disciplined in addressing stakeholder and community needs.
Understand and engage with open source related technologies, projects and foundations.
Develop a strong and respected presence in open source communities and projects.
To be successful in the role you must have
5+ years professional programming experience with strong core competency in any of the following: Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Kotlin, C/C++.
Experience in product development including familiarity with methodology and processes.
Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Gitlab.
Awareness of relevant open source community norms and behaviors. Experience in open source or inner source communities is an advantage.
Strong verbal and written communication. While representing EST as an open source developer, a focus is placed on high emotional competence and communication skills.
The proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-setting, working in a multi-cultural & international environment.
Have a MSc/BSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
Be proficient in English, written and spoken
