Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Architect to join our Data & Analytics team. This is a leadership role, where you will be part of the group setting the strategy for the coming years, building capability and acquiring clients to meet those ambitions. As an architect, you would advise our clients on data-oriented solutions, and direct and lead our development teams both locally and offshore.

Prior experience in a consultancy organisation isn’t essential, but having a consultancy mindset is a must – listening
to a client’s challenges and context, connecting the problem to our existing offerings, assets and case studies, critical analysis to identify the best solution for them, communicating a shared vision for a project and the transformative effect it can have on the client’s organisation. You will have the opportunity to work with clients across Financial Services, Life Sciences, and some of the leading names in tech products.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse a client’s enterprise technology and business landscape, to make recommendations on future architecture
• Engage with business stakeholders at all levels through interviews and structured workshops to capture requirements and vision
• Design Logical and Physical Data Models
• Translate Business requirements into Technical specifications
• Create and maintain Technical documentation
• Design end to end ETL pipelines
• Design DevOps Architectures
• Ability to create solution prototypes
• Guide development teams in the design and build of solutions
• Work with business and independent test teams on appropriate test and validation strategies
• Develop proposals for new projects to new and existing clients: providing demos, designing solutions and providing estimates
• Mentoring junior members of the team

Requirements

• 3rd level qualification in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a data-oriented architect
• Prior project experience including large scale migrations to the Cloud, EDWs is required
• Prior project experience with real-time streaming data, setting up self-service reporting environments, are nice to have
• Expert knowledge of Cloud data services, and the ability to make informed recommendations on platform, tools and services.
