The job in a nutshell
This is a senior role in the BICC team – leading the logical design of our data warehouse and reporting platforms. This role is responsible for shaping the design of our solutions and the roadmap for enhancing our reporting environment. This role will plan, deliver and communicate measurable value to the Three. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a difference to the business strategy and decision making.
What else it Involves
Lead shaping of BICC solutions
Lead business engagement model
Lead process for requirement definition and scope estimation management for major projects
Lead on key modelling/logical design decisions on the data warehouse and reporting tools (logical e.g. the structure of our subject areas, design decisions to improve consistency)
Review of BICC solutions and development standards
Own the BICC roadmap for driving for self serve and reporting improvements
Develop & own catalogue of BICC subject areas and outputs and the strategy for how we build out
Working with data governance manager and data architect to improve consistency and clarity in reporting and metric definition
Track and report on progress on major initiatives
Drive Innovation & Value
Proactively drive innovative use of our technologies for new solutions
Champion our data assets and drive ways to deliver value from them
Drive Collaboration / Improve ways of working
Drive improvements in the BICC operational model in particular how we work with the other teams in data management and with the wider organisation
Technical expertise in BI technologies, a vision for the role and passion for driving improvements
