Associate SOC Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role

Workday is looking for engineers who have strong analytical skills and who understand application attack methods.  You should be familiar with the OWASP Top 10 and possess some knowledge of network or systems security.

As a Security Engineer in the Security Operations Center team, you will be part of an outstanding team of security professionals with deep experience in security operations.  You will get the opportunity to advance your skills in areas such as monitoring, detection and response .  Additionally you will take part in red, blue and purple team events, as well as collaborate with other Workday teams on various security projects aimed to enhance Workday’s cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities:

* Support the SOC in understanding incidents targeting Workday.

* Help us on threat detection using network or system capabilities.

* Analyze threats and vulnerabilities to determine security impact

* Build technologies to respond and prevent security threats

Qualifications:

* BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline

* Knowledge of cloud security concepts, solutions, and automation

* Capable of understanding vulnerabilities and recommending solutions

* Literacy in at least one programming or scripting language

* Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
