Application Support Specialist

Application Support specialist role on a dynamic team providing Business and Technology support for to the Finance LOB. Will be part of the Enterprise TI Application Production Services (APS) organization providing services to Finance Technology and Finance business partners. You will work within a team of people in a global team comprising of both developers and analysts, supporting global business functions in a follow the sun support model. The candidate would work very closely with team members globally to maintain an excellent level of technology support for our user base.  The role exists in a fast paced environment and candidates would be expected to come up to speed quickly with regard to APS Support procedures, technical, application & business knowledge.  This exciting role is well suited to individuals with a keen interest in Investment banking and it offers opportunities to learn about all areas of the Treasury business. Individuals will get exposure to the Middle & Back office processes and the complete trade lifecycle while supporting our business partners.  The Support team also works extremely closely with our Development, BA, and QA team partners on both applications. These strong relationships help to maintain a very high level of end user support.

Quartz Support Specialist will provide support for applications/tools developed in Quartz and Python.  The role will provide incident resolution and root cause analysis as well as consult with development team on all aspects of the quartz environment/platform.  The role requires strong partnership with development and TI leaders to be successful.

Key responsibilities include:


• Application Support of Finance Applications in region and globally.

• Review and approval of credentials
• Review, approval and implementation of code changes
• Management and coordination of change related to shared configuration files
• Code Development and maintenance of shared utilities and tools
• Application and platform incident resolution and root cause analysis

 

Overview of the Team:

  • A global team supporting Finance applications.
  • Team members are in Asia, EMEA and AMRS.  The team is well established, but with opportunities for optimization, expansion and team member growth.

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent  

• 3-5 years of experience with technical application support,  Levels 1,2,3+, reading logs, debugging code, stacktrace, troubleshooting, fast turn-around time for queries.  
• 1+ years working with Quartz (Training available)  
• 2+ Python coding experience  
• Experience with an IDE (development environment)  
• Good understanding of version control systems  
• Good communication skills  
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
