Application Support Engineer .Net Contract Ireland 6-18 Months. My client a leading global name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team on a contract basis of 6 months with view for extensions up to 18 months.
The role is for a Production Support Analyst supporting the Finance Regulatory Applications. Candidate will work closely with the line of business, application development team, and other technology partners (DBAs, SAs, etc.) to provide the production support of Finance Regulatory applications. Activities of the production support and management include but are not limited to: application monitoring and health check to assure system availability and stable performance, user query and production incident handling and resolution, problem management and proactively managing preventive actions, trouble-shooting application performance issues, application environment/infrastructure management, capacity management, release process management including application deployment and configuration. coordinating disaster Recovery exercises. Ability to develop a deep understanding of the business needs and strategic directions. Identify/escalate Governance issues as needed.

Successful candidates will have experience working with .Net applications, Autosys, BladeLogic, Windows, and Linux platforms. Experience with Database systems (Oracle & SQL Server). You will also have experience in triaging production issues and identifying root cause and corrective actions. Experience with ITSM Remedy (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem management, and Request Management). You will have Positive attitude and capable of remaining calm when under pressure. It would be seen as an advantage if you had *Familiarity with Axiom Regulatory Reporting tool, Familiarity with application monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos and Basic scripting skills (PowerShell).
