Job Description

 

We are looking for an outstanding engineer to be a part of our mobile developer experience (DevEx) team - Our DevEx team supports our Customer Advocacy team in solving client issues and bridges the gap between our clients and our SDK feature teams.

 

Our mobile engineering teams power customer engagement in some of your favourite apps, via our SDK integrations, used by millions of users. We also deliver the best customer experiences for customer service agents using our apps, as well as the Sell app that helps the salesperson to work on the move.

 

If you're an Android engineer who puts customers first, loves helping out other developers do their best work, and is passionate about fixing things, then this job is for you!

 

What you’ll be doing

Debug and triage customer tickets.

Maintain and fix bugs across many Zendesk products.

Be the link between the outside world and our feature teams.

Work closely with product management to help prioritize tickets.

Build Zendesk's mobile sample apps that showcase our products.

What you bring to the role

 

Required experience:

An open, thoughtful, and empathetic approach to working with others.

Forward-thinking mentality, ready to change the status quo!

Proficient in Java, and Kotlin.

Shown understanding of the Android platform.

Knowledge of Android's design principles and material design.

Proficient in code versioning tools (Git)

Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.

Experience with continuous integration.

 

Preferred requirements:

Previous experience working in a customer-facing team.
