Vhi Group Services DAC currently have a Dublin based vacancy for a Senor Infrastructure Architect on a fulltime permanent basis.  The Health & Wellbeing Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation and governance of the Health & Wellbeing Infrastructure platforms to support the Health & Wellbeing business; accountable for architecting and designing infrastructure solutions involving compute, storage, and networking components including considerations such as cloud, cyber security, resilience and disaster recovery.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for the Infrastructure and Technical Architecture design across all platforms and systems.
• Providing expertise across multiple disciplines including AD, Hosting, Network, Telco, Storage, Security, and Support.
• Developing Infrastructure and Technical Architecture principles and standards.
• Interacting with clinical/business/functional partners, and 3rd party vendors, to define infrastructure requirements in line with functional, technical, security, and support considerations.
• Accountable for key architectural decisions based on defined principles and standards.
• Understanding capabilities and tools in the marketplace that could fulfil business goals and provide strategic benefits in a cost-effective manner.
• Work with technical and business teams to evaluate new and emerging technologies, vendors and business models.
• Conducting gap analysis of current to target state technical architecture; definition of the roadmap and plans to achieve target state.
• Conduct peer reviews of Concepts carried out by other members of the Architecture Team.
• Govern Projects in Delivery to ensure adherence to Original Design.
• Provide Leadership in Infrastructure and Technical Architecture and benchmark externally to establish best practise.

• The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following minimum requirements:
• Minimum 5 years working in an IT environment preferably in an Infrastructure Architecture or Infrastructure Project Delivery role.
• Excellent understanding of Infrastructure Architecture and ability to design secure, highly resilient solutions based on technology standards, guidelines and frameworks.
• SME with broad technical knowledge, in architecting and designing infrastructure solutions involving compute, storage, and networking components including considerations such as cloud, cyber security, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options.
• Enthusiastic professional and confident team player with a strong customer-success focus, who can present solutions effectively.
• Demonstrated organisational skills, decision making skills and attention to detail.
• Experience of delivering to strict target dates and/or service levels.
• A proven track record in stakeholder management at all levels in the organisation including Executive and senior staff, within both IT and the business, project delivery and support staff, 3rd party vendors and controller functions within the organisation.
• Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management.
• Understanding of latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options.
