Development Support Engineer

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Effective and efficient delivery of development support core tasks in the assigned functional areas of responsibility
  • Analysis of complex software issues (on Development Support level)
  • Ensure excellent quality and maintain high standards in incident processing, software corrections in the assigned areas of responsibility
  • Be part of continuous improvement of software quality; design and implement improvements of software architecture and applications
  • Contribute to the development of SAP’s product standards, development and support infrastructure, as well as development and support processes
  • Implement functional enhancements in areas of expertise

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills:

  • Candidates must possess a Degree/Diploma (or equivalent) in a computing discipline with software development
  • Software debugging experience in a Customer Support or Development Support role
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work together with cross-cultural global teams
  • Strong commitment to quality
  • Self-motivated, ability and willingness to quickly take responsibility and to execute

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge and experience of CRM processes
  • Knowledge of ABAP Programming Language
  • Experience working with JavaScript/Java/ Node JS, Angular & Database technologies
  • Experience working with GitHub, Jenkins
  • Understanding of Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment
